Residential Conveyancer

My client is a national law firm offering a unique collection of specialisms across the commercial, public, health and insurance sectors, with offices up and down the UK. They have long-standing relationships with an impressive range of clients and aim to truly understand their needs to
deliver an exceptional service which exceeds their expectations and makes their life easier.

The purpose of this role is to provide residential conveyancing support to a busy property department. You will be required to manage your own caseload utilising your existing residential conveyancing knowledge across a range of transactions, but with a particular emphasis on transactions for housing association/ social housing clients.

Main Responsibilities:
 Providing advice on time and to a high standard of technical competence in a broad range of residential property matters  Running with their own caseload
 Working with other team members as circumstances require - either alongside senior colleagues on complex transactions or supervising/assisting less experienced colleagues
 Alongside the rest of the team and with the support of the marketing department, developing new business through the growth of existing clients of the firm and winning new clients through occasional marketing (including contributing to pitch and tender documents)

 Achieving budgeted hours and fees for the year as a minimum

 Supporting the team in delivering the core principles of investors in clients to deliver exceptional client service

Technical skills
 Good legal drafting skills: able to provide clear, concise and commercially relevant solutions, explaining/advising succinctly on difficult and complex areas whilst winning their confidence and being aware of potential conflicts
 Residential conveyancing experience and record of managing own caseload is essential
 Experience of social housing is essential
 Keen to maintain personal development and take advantage of training opportunities

Please note, it is essential that you have previous experience working as a conveyancer focusing on housing associations/ social housing clients.
