Your new company
An investment bank is looking to engage a qualified lawyer, on a contract for services arrangement, to cover a maternity contract to start ASAP. You would be responsible for providing global Legal support to the bank with respect to structured derivative products.

Your new role
Working as part of the UK legal department, and closely with the banks transaction management teams, you will work closely with regulators and listing agents, as well as other divisions of the bank across a wide range of jurisdictions. Your main areas of responsibility would be Interpreting termsheets, as well as drafting and reviewing amongst others, securitised derivative (note, warrant and certificate) prospectus. You will be expected to draft final terms and other relevant documentation and make subsequent amendments when required. You will also be responsible for confidentiality agreements; regulatory filing and European law (Prospectus Directive, MiFID II) compliance, preparation of notices and listing requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
Being a technical lawyer, you must have at least 3 years experience in negotiating structured derivative products. You must have excellent communication skills, and be able to articulate both complex legal and mathematical ideas. This experience will have been gained within either a leading City law firm, financial services company, hedge fund or asset management company.
