Head of Governance

In-House Head of Governance required to join a large organisation in Leicestershire.


Your new company
Hays are currently working in partnership with a large organisation seeking an experienced Head of Governance to join their in-house team. This position is full-time permanent with staff management responsibilities.

Your new role

Working within their busy governance team you will:

• provide guidance and support to junior colleagues as well as Boar and Committee members
• lead the development, implementation and review of corporate policies and governance processes
• ensure organisational compliance with relevant regulations, legislation and best practice
• ensure all changes and regulations are fully adhered to
• lead on data protection issues
• oversee staff induction and performance evaluation
• oversee contractual and legal issues

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will in-depth understanding of statutory regulations and relevant legislation. You will also have detailed working knowledge of Corporate Governance gained within in-house environment.

Additionally, you will have experience of working at senior level, advising management and have a proven track record of motivating and leading a successful governance team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Company Secretary or Solicitor.
