Basingstoke based with minimal travel (mainly London)


Your new company
A well known and highly respected international service company with a strong footprint within their field of specialism. Hays Legal Recruitment are delighted to support this newly created role in support of an unique obligation to ensure compliance and process behind every element of their business. Working in an established team and with the support of the GC & Head of Legal this role will suit individuals who have an genuine interest in business ethics and has experience in compliance, GDPR, Anti Bribery & controls.

Your new role
This is a broad-based- corporate compliance and ethics role, working in a small specialist team.across the UK-wide business.

You will be:

  • Advising on and actively promoting compliance with laws, regulations and business ethics principles and the corporate ethics and compliance standards, policies and procedures
  • Running a number of Compliance programmes across a broad range of corporate regulations including,Speak Up, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, Export Controls, Sanctions, Human Rights, Modern Slavery Act and Third Party Due Diligence
  • Investigating compliance breaches
  • Offering and organising relevant training when required
  • Working with stakeholders at board level and employee level



What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need the energy and enthusiasm to drive the compliance and ethics culture within the business
  • You may come from a corporate governance or legal background. You should ideally hold a legal or compliance/risk qualification
  • You will need excellent communication skills working with both individual employees right up to board level
  • You will also need an investigative approach
