We are actively seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Officer (Solicitor/Legal Executive) into our highly respected Social Care Legal Team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidates to join our team to support the service of over 50 lawyers who all want to make a difference.

Our work is varied and includes adult safeguarding, children’s safeguarding, education advice, special educational needs tribunals, exclusion appeals, fostering and adoption advice.

About you 

We are looking for an experienced lawyer who will be responsible for a personal caseload of child care matters including high profile and/or complex legal matters. The role will involve mentoring other members of the team and providing advice and support when necessary.  

You may be required to provide advice at Council, Cabinet and Committee meetings  and also provide advice on areas of law that fall within the remit of the Social Care Legal Team including education.
