Our client is a global business consultancy providing first-class services to its clients across the private and public sector. They are currently seeking a Sole In-House Commercial Counsel for their Central London office.

The ideal candidate will have around 1 year of PQE, and will be eager to move into a role where they'll offer stand-alone commercial legal services across the company. Reporting to the Operational Director, this central position is highly visible within the business and the duties will include:

• Negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, such as:

           - Client contracts
           - NDAs
           - Consultancy agreements
           - Employment contracts, including restrictive covenants

• Handling of disputes, debt recovery and risk, compliance and GDPR/privacy matters
• Supporting the setting up of new international offices
• Liaising with outside counsel and sitting in on meetings

You will be a qualified solicitor in the UK with at least 1 year’s PQE and an appetite to join a successful company as their sole counsel. Strong commercial contracts experience are essential, coupled with a good eye for detail, and a commercial outlook. You should be comfortable building relationships, internally and externally, and using your own initiative to get the job done. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of this consultancy.
