Shipping Litigation Lawyer

A top 20 law firm, with a highly regarded global shipping team currently has a requirement for a junior NQ-2 year Lawyer to join their contentious team working in Guildford.

They have an excellent name in the industry, and are looking to strengthen the team with an ambitious shipping lawyer litigation lawyer at NQ - 2 year PQE.
The role will be a healthy mix of wet and dry shipping work and whilst there will be a focus on contentious work, there will be some advisory / transactional work.

In the main the contentious work will revolve around insurance, collisions, salvage, and various contractual disputes.

You will have trained at a leading firm regional, national or City firm and have good Commercial Litigation experience - previous Shipping knowledge is deserved but not required. Whilst there is some flexibility on PQE, it is important that you feel comfortable with the various contracts and have a good understanding of the industry in general.
