In-house Commercial Solicitor

An innovative technology company is looking for a 1+PQE commercial solicitor to join their fast-paced In-house team based in the West Midlands. The successful lawyer will join the legal team, reporting to Head of Legal, and have a broad range of responsibilities touching on all aspects of commercial law (knowledge of GDPR is desirable). You will work closely with other departments of the business, as well as external stakeholders, therefore a proactive individual with strong communication skills is essential. Salary is flexible, however in the region of £42-48k.

Due to continual growth this global technology business is creating an exciting opportunity for a 1+PQE solicitor to join their In-house legal team. The business prides itself on suppling ground-breaking IT services, with a client base of multiple high-end retailers. You will be working as part of a team of 3 In-house commercial solicitors, although will be expected to demonstrate independence and competence in everything you do. This innovative company holds their customers at the heart of everything they do, and it is essential this is reflected in the successful solicitors work approach.

Applications are welcome from 1+PQE solicitors who are enthusiastic about IT, with experience of retail desirable. You will be largely responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts relevant to all areas of IT. As an individual, you will be a GDPR representative for the In-house legal team, therefore previous knowledge of this legislation or willingness to learn is desirable. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be an energetic team player, with the ability to develop and manage lasting relationships with external stakeholders.
