The role

The firm is seeking to hire a Head of Law Costs (Legal Aid) into the Streatham, South London.

The firm has a turnover of over £30million pa, and have grown by double in the last 5 years. They have plans to continue to grow to become a £80million+ turnover within 10 years. Circa, £700k comes through the costs department every month. There is a highly experienced costs team based across two offices. They deal with both legal aid, private bills and interparty costs, this includes; Personal Injury, Family, Crime, Employment and Civil and Commercial Litigation.

You will solely deal with legal aid bills and will supervise a small team under you.

You will manage a growing and highly dynamic team, reporting into board level, you will also run your own caseload. This role comes with a highly lucrative bonus structure, with lots of autonomy to make the role your own. This is an important and highly important hire for the firm. This is to replace the current Head of Costs.

Requirements:

• You will be a Law Costs Draftsman with at least six years PQE
• You will deal with the legal aid bills
• You should ideally have experience of managing and leading a team
• Confidence to report at board level is essential
• You should be technically strong
• Salary is very negotiable and dependent on your background, plus an excellent bonus structure and benefits package
