Property Legal Adviser, Public Body, London, 12 month FTC, up to £36,000

Your new company
This executive, non-departmental public body provides free legal advice to leaseholders in England and Wales, on the law affecting residential leasehold. Providing this valuable service for over twenty years, the organisation now has two vacancies for legal advisers to join on a 12 month FTC.

Your new role
You will respond to requests for advice by telephone, letter, email and personal visits to the office. You will also provide advice either verbally or in written form, setting out the customer's legal position and the courses of action viable within statute and common law. You will provide advice in seminars with groups of customers, either in the office or on-site visits. You will also provide training in legislation and practice as part of the organisation's commercial learning and development programme. You will carry out research into law and practice. You will draft input to reports produced by the organisation, which will include responses and submissions to Government. You will draft input to new or revised advisory materials published by the organisation. You will attend courses, seminars and meetings when required.

What you'll need to succeed
You have a law degree, and have previous experience working within leasehold (ideally leasehold enfranchisement). You have strong communication and customer service skills, and can work in a demanding and pressured environment. You can express information in clear terms, and work in a publicly accountable manner. You can prioritise your workload to hit daily targets.
