The Head of Legal Services at Suffolk County Council is an exciting opportunity to lead an in-house legal team specialising in local government law, providing services to a range of public sector organisations across the eastern region and beyond.

Suffolk Legal focuses on what customers need, so services are designed to consistently deliver on those high expectations.

You will have:

* substantial recent and relevant experience of working at a senior level in legal services

* a sound track record of identifying solutions for a variety of complex situations and problems

* detailed and extensive legal knowledge gained through qualifications and demonstrable continued professional development.

As one of the council's Deputy Monitoring Officers, you will provide advice and support to councillors and senior officers and play an influential role in the senior management community of the Corporate Services Directorate.
