An exceptional in-house Employment Solicitor job within the Government in London.

Your new company
The Government's in-house legal team is currently looking for two Employment Lawyers to join on an 11-month contract, to join their exceptional legal team in assisting a variety of Government departments.

Your new role
You will conduct employment litigation on behalf of a number of governmental departments. You will undertake a varied caseload in all areas of legal work, including employment proceedings in courts, appeals and tribunals. You will interview witnesses and record relevant statements as well as conducting settlement negotiations. You will also be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders and providing advice on matters relating to Employment Law, access to information and data protection.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister, with relevant experience in Employment law and litigation strategy. Prior experience working within the public sector will be useful, but is not essential. You should be capable of meeting billing targets, whilst maintaining a high standard of legal research. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be capable of dealing with a variety of different individuals. The ability to liaise with Stakeholders and clients is key.
