Job Duties:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). Due to the continued success and expansion of Hertfordshire County Council’s legal service and increased collaboration with District Councils in Hertfordshire we are seeking to grow and strengthen our team.

We are looking to appoint talented, ambitious and committed lawyers to work across our team based primarily at our Hertford office.

We are looking for an ambitious and talented commercially minded lawyer committed to a career in local government commercial law. You will be a qualified lawyer (solicitor/barrister/chartered legal executive) ideally with local government experience – but that is not essential. We are keen to hear from those with commercial law experience and an ability to manage a challenging and exciting case load of commercial matters.

We offer a competitive benefits package, a flexible approach to working, opportunities for personal and professional development and have a strong focus on work life balance.

For an informal discussion please contact: Kevin Carter, Principal Lawyer – Commercial Law Group on 01992 556177 or kevin.carter@hertfordshire.gov.uk

Closing date: 28th February 2018
Interviews: W/C 12th March 2018
