Salary Range: £38,237 - £43821 (plus one off welcome payment of £3,000)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). Due to the continued success and expansion of Hertfordshire County Council’s legal service and increased collaboration with District Councils in Hertfordshire we are seeking to grow and strengthen our team. We are looking to appoint committed lawyers to work across our team based primarily at our Hertford office.

Looking for an ambitious and talented lawyer, committed to a career in local government property law. You will be a qualified lawyer (solicitor/barrister/chartered legal executive) ideally with local government experience – but that is not essential. We are keen to hear from those with experience in drafting leases, licences plus experience in drafting legal documents with regards to disposals and acquisitions, with an ability to manage high volume and wide ranging caseload of property transactions.

We offer a competitive benefits package, a flexible approach to working, opportunities for personal and professional development and have a strong focus on work life balance.

For an informal discussion please contact: Daniel Stevens, Principal Property Lawyer on 01992 588623 or Daniel.Stevens@hertfordshire.gov.uk

Closing date: 28th February 2018
Interviews: W/C 12th March 2018
