A Legal 500 law firm based in North Yorkshire are looking to add to their court of protection team. You will be joining a firm with an excellent reputation in the market for both commercial and private client work. They have a real focus on providing a more personal touch to their clients and working on high net worth cases.

As a court of protection solicitor 3 PQE + you will be responsible primarily for a full caseload including but not limited to: running ongoing cases where lawyers in the firm are deputies, making applications to the Court of Protection or statutory wills, statutory gifts and applications concerning powers of attorney.

You will also be required assist other members of the team by handling more diverse caseload by liaising with more senior lawyers. Providing legal advice of outstanding quality that focuses on the clients needs is a key and imperative value to poses when meeting clients overseeing the execution of documents.

You will have:
  • previous court of protection and private client experience
  • High level IT skills for producing client documents 
  • STEP membership (or willingness to study STEP to become a member) 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Willingness to assist senior lawyers in the firm 
  • Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
