Our client is an established regional law firm which primarily focuses on acting for commercial clients. Within their service spread they have a very credible Real Estate department which handles mixed property work for SME/OMBs, and also acts for larger corporate clients, investors, and undertakes a good amount of Development work. The department has a lot of momentum and had expanded in recent years, but they are now looking to strengthen the department at management/supervisory level, possibly part-time. That could be either an Associate or a Partner Designate appointment dependant upon the person and their motivations at whatever stage of their career they are at. This firm would reckon candidates would be needing upwards of 8yrsPQE to be able to fulfill the role and operate without close supervision.

The primary objective is to get someone aboard from a good quality background who is technically strong and who ideally can handle varied work (ideally including Development ) and carry relationships with corporate clients who this firm values highly and needs to ensure receive a consistently high level of client care.

Reflecting your seniority you will be taking on some day to day supervisory and mentoring responsibilities though you wont be expected to take a strategic lead. Having a willingness to be involved in networking and fostering commercial property contacts is important, but if you're coming from a Top 100 brand then it is highly likely that these are skills you'll have developed to a degree anyway. (What this firm does not need is for a candidate to bring work - they have loads, though they'd not turn new work away!)

Candidates who are looking for prospects of partnership are encouraged to apply as the firm is keen to help you to professionally develop without obstruction and to achieve your potential - it is not a 'big firm culture' and so it will be a refreshing change for anyone coming out of a national brand.

Candidates already at Partner level will be assessed on their own merits and expertise.

Any candidate perhaps looking to exit a long held partnership position but who'd like to enjoy practising for the forseeable future and sharing their knowledge with others will also be considered as this could be morphed to a part-time engagement to suit.

Florit Brooke advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
