IP / IT 5yr + PQE Solicitor - Central Cardiff

The successful Lawyer will have experience of general commercial law, drafting and negotiating contracts, information technology contracts (and related IP matters) and familiarity with the use of contracts in corporate structures, skills essential to the role.  Experience of working with public sector bodies and social media (and an appreciation of information law) would be useful.  The candidate should also have a basic understanding of corporate structures as the work will involve advising on corporate service delivery structures.

Our clients IP/IT team includes lawyers with in-depth, industry-focused expertise who work with clients in the public and private sectors, including local authorities, NHS bodies, large corporations and start-up companies.  The team advise on a variety of commercial matters including outsourcing agreements, software licensing, IT infrastructure agreements and other forms of agreement for internet-based and traditional IT support services.  The team also specialise in issues commonly arising within the IT and technology sectors, such as the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, confidentiality and data protection.  The work is varied, ranging from advising on relatively straightforward software licences to supporting complex, high-value long-term outsourcing procurements.
