Legal 200 firm based in Nottingham hiring Construction and Engineering Solicitor to manage their own caseload of non-contentious matters within its Litigation and Dispute Resolution department.

Being an innovative and adaptable practice, they are able to manage commercial issues and are also experts in personal matters for private individuals. This firm is recognised for the consistent quality of advice and client care it provides. Currently undergoing a period of expansion, the firm is now seeking a Construction and Engineering Solicitor for its Litigation and Dispute Resolution department based in Nottingham.

The Role
Joining an experienced team staffed by expert lawyers and chartered construction professionals, this is an exciting opportunity for a Construction and Engineering Litigation Solicitor to manage their own caseload and work as an Associate at a prominent firm. The successful Solicitor will deliver legal services to clients regarding all areas of non-contentious construction matters. You will undertake an array of duties to include: advising clients in correspondence and in person; taking clients’ instructions; attending and running client meetings; drafting legal documentation and; negotiating with clients and other professionals to ensure objectives are met. You will supervise and assist more junior fee earners and delegate appropriate work to Paralegals, as well as supporting more senior members on complex matters. Business development work to increase the standing of the department will also form part of your role, so it is essential to excel in related activities such as marketing and networking. The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from Solicitors with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE dealing with construction law matters gained from a reputable firm.
It is essential to possess experience of drafting and negotiating modifications to standard form contracts as well as bespoke forms of contract, appointment and collateral warranties on a variety of commercial and residential projects.
Solid skills in managing or supervising others is key in applications to the role.
It is desirable to have a strong knowledge of the local market.
It would be advantageous if your communication and client care skills are of an exceptional standard.
A proactive and motivated approach is essential.
