Do you like a challenge? Do you want to make a name for yourself in the market? If so, this role is offering you the chance to be the key figure in the establishment of a new department within a highly successful regional firm…
This award-winning firm is moving from strength to strength and over recent months has seen an influx of corporate work coming in. This increasing corporate workload has lent itself to an influx of Tax work, which up until now, the firm has had no capacity to handle. Instead of outsourcing this work, the firm is now looking to take it on and is therefore seeking a talented and technically excellent Tax Lawyer to join the team.
You would be handling matters and advice relating to tax aspects of buying and selling businesses, MBOs and private equity investments, as well as aspects of VAT, tax efficient exits and much more. Working closely alongside the wider corporate and property teams, you will also have a great network of support and resources for the role.
Since this is a relatively untapped area of law for the firm, you will be encouraged to drive the department forward, winning further work through marketing and business development activities. While this is a standalone role, you will be sitting within the wider corporate team, meaning you will be well-resourced and well-supported with the growth of this department.
The role, based in either Sheffield or Leeds, is a stand out opportunity for anyone looking to take their career to the next level not only will you have an excellent base of work to pick up, you will also have the chance to tailor a brand new department around your values. The sky is really the limit in terms of where you could take this role and in terms of where you can take your career.
Our client envisages candidates with 5 or more years' experience to have the essential skills and experience to succeed in this role. This is, however, given purely as a guideline and the firm is happy to consider applications from candidates who do not necessarily have this PQE level, but who can demonstrate the technical ability and enthusiasm necessary for the role.
So if you are looking for a role that will propel your career to the next level and really build a name for yourself within the Tax market, why not apply?
