Trusts Manager - Legal 500
Our Established Legal 500 Client are seeking an experienced accounting and tax manager to run a portfolio of estates and UK domestic trusts for a small but highly experienced Private Client Department of a long established legal practice with reputation for high quality private client work.
Production of annual trust accounts and Tax Returns using CCH software - training to be provided
Diarising and arranging payment of tax liabilities by due dates and considering how the liabilities will be paid.
Filing Tax Returns online and becoming proficient in the use of client records on the HMRC website
Diarising other trust events such as income distributions and rent demands
Generate invoices for periodic bills
Corresponding with trustees, beneficiaries and third party intermediaries where necessary for performance of tasks
Perusing and summarising investment managers reports
Attendance at the CCH Software User Group meetings
Production of Estate Accounts on CCH Trust Accounts software – training to be provided
Production of Estate Administration Tax Returns – training to be provided
Will be expected to record time and reach required number of monthly chargeable hours
Attend Private Client department meetings
Provide support to other Fee earners within the department in respect of trust and estate related matters
Attention to detail
Ability to organize and prioritise a workload
After initial training to be able to work with minimal supervision
Basic understanding of investments.
Have knowledge of recent compliance issues, such as Trust Registration Scheme and LEI.
