Childcare Lawyer required to join a great local authority based in East Sussex for an initial 3 month period, with the possibility of extension thereafter.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of the law and practise relating to public Child Law
- Ability to conduct own case load within defined legal areas
- Experience in mentoring or guiding legal staff
- Great negotiating and drafting skills
- Ability to adapt to changing work practises
As Childcare Lawyer, you will be required to manage a full childcare caseload of both public proceedings and pre proceeding matters. The caseload will be varied, and will result in the Childcare Lawyer attending Legal Planning Meetings, PLO meetings and Advocates meetings.
The ideal Childcare Lawyer will be a practising Solicitor or Barrister with public sector experience, however our client is also keen to hear from private practice candidates who have dealt with public care matters.
