The Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dispute Resolution Legal Assistant, who holds potential, to join their leading and talented Dispute Resolution team. The successful applicant will provide a fully effective service to clients by progressing client files under the direction of the appropriate solicitors and will provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the allocated Solicitors and to others in the Dispute Resolution department when required.

Activities will be varied and will involve taking initial client instructions and handling tasks under the solicitor’s instructions. This may include amongst other duties: drafting and submitting CNF1s on the MOJ Claims Portal; all types of claim EL/PL & RTA; collating medical evidence and other losses; Court papers & documents; obtaining judgments and handling enforcement; dealing with funding matters such as setting up ATE policies; dealing with accounting when a matter is concluded; drafting letters and other general administrative tasks, whilst at the same time always providing a courteous and efficient service to clients.

The Candidate
Applicants who have recently or are in the process of completing their legal studies are encouraged to apply.
The successful Dispute Resolution Legal Assistant will be seeking a Training Contract or a career in law. 
Experience of working within a Dispute Resolution Department of a Law Firm or relevant legal qualifications would be preferred.
Secretarial experience in a Law firm is desirable.
Demonstrate a client-centred approach at all times.
Have fast and accurate keyboard skills – 50 wpm minimum.
Work calmly under pressure and with a demanding workload.
