If you are a commercial lawyer looking for top quality work and genuine career prospects then read on!
A great opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor to join a top-tier international firm based in Leeds. They are a cutting edge firm that really invest in their people and this role would offer someone an incredible level of ongoing training, tailored to developing you and your career. You will also join a strong team that is not only technically excellent but also one where there is a wealth of broad commercial expertise from which you can learn. This role provides the opportunity to handle high quality, complex and varied work and will really help to kick start your career.
The firm is seeking a mid-level lawyer to run their own files as well as provide support to the more junior members of the team. The work on offer is an equal split of commercial and IT contact matters, with the opportunity to get involved in some GDPR work but only if you have a specific interest in doing so. The quality of the work is as good as it gets and certainly a step above other firms, whilst many say that they act for blue chip clients this firm can not only say that but that they do the high value, complex work for these clients too . The team often deal with multi million transactions for a range of clients in a variety of different sectors, on both a national and international basis! Alongside this the team also have a strong presence within Yorkshire and do a lot of local work as well. The work on offer is really varied and interesting therefore this role would suit someone looking for a new challenge.
It may be that you are currently in house and feel that you are stagnating, many teams have flat structures but that's not the case here, there is plenty of progression with opportunity to manage, mentor or coach others. Also, given the structure of the team you would consistently be handling challenging work, they have the infrastructure and backup to ensure that this is the case.
The team encourage everyone to get involved in business development and the growth of the department so this is a great role to really expand on your skills within this area. This may sound daunting but the firm have fantastic BD plans in place and provide great support with this, it's certainly not a matter of attending networking events (which can be quite off-putting for many) but rather a strategic plan across the team and the firm of which you would become part.
Due to the requirements of the team and the supervision aspect of the role, the firm is looking for a lawyer with around 4-8 years pqe.
This role really does offer great work, great clients, a great team and a great career opportunity.
