My renowned client has some very rare openings for HOMEBASED roles, due to the demand in these positions the opening(s) will not be around for long.
As a Legal Technical Specialist (site or remotely based), you will report into a Technical Conveyancing Manager. In this role you will apply your extensive background in Conveyancing which will allow you to check and produce legal documentation with speed and accuracy thus helping your team to achieve and exceed client satisfaction through excellent customer service. Your ability to impart your technical knowledge will allow you to coach and develop colleagues to become highly effective in a volume environment which will be critical to your success.
They are looking for detailed orientated individuals with the ability to motivate others and commercial flair to understand the part they have to play creating success. You will be a confident decision with a passion for client case delivery who advocates an inspirational customer experience.
You will be used to working as part of a high volume residential conveyancing environment. You will be a strong technical specialist with the background to be able to:
- Check and produce legal documentation with speed and accuracy;
- Utilize your extensive experience and knowledge of residential conveyancing;
- Work well within a team and communicate clearly;
- Act independently when establishing priorities and managing deadlines;
- Be able to run a high caseload and perform a full range of tasks unsupervised;
- Assist team members with technical / complex queries as and when required;
- Assess risk and make commercial decisions without jeopardising the client or business;
- Provide excellent customer service and client satisfaction; and
- Assist and organise the team to ensure targets are met
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Day to Day tasks
Complete tasks efficiently, accurately and within specified timescales, such as:
o Task list management of the work of your allocated team
o Independently check, draft and produce computerised complex legal documentation involving freehold and leasehold titles incorporating new build /unregistered / shared ownership properties
o Comprehensively report any issues to Conveyancers within your allocated team.
o Processing and dealing with your allocated post
o Checking complex search results and mortgage documentation.
o Resolving complex and technical queries involving for example, Deeds of Trust, Deeds of Variation, Lease extensions etc.
o Replying to complex additional enquiries by email / post / telephone.
o Dealing with complicated queries from colleagues, both Onshore and Offshore,
o Be able to assess risk without putting the client or business in jeopardy.
o If called upon, to act as a locum Conveyancer and manage a high caseload of files unsupervised.
o Communicate clear and concise messages confidently on conference calls, video conferences
o Work to and maintain agreed Service Level Agreements.
o Identifying, monitoring and achieving targets on a monthly basis by using Management Information Reports such as Legal Technical Specialist (LTS) Daily Report and Team Metrics.
o Suggest improvements to current policies and procedures.
o Understand and produce accurate financial statements and be able to understand ledgers within Visual Files
