A large full-service Northampton based firm are actively recruiting for a Junior Employment Solicitor.

The firm is a staple of the local business community, they have a wealth of commercial clients and also attract very high-level respondent clients on matters of contentious representation and transactional fee earning. 

The ideal candidate will have 3 + years’ experience with exposure to both claimant related matters and respondent clients. They will ideally have exposure to contentious matters, including representing all levels of employees at tribunal, dealing with issues around constructive dismissal, sex discrimination, and Equality Act issues.
 
Ideally the candidate would also have exposure to transactional matters including restrictive covenants, Settlement Agreements, drafting employment contracts, advising SME businesses on employment policies and procedural advice, flexible working arrangements, service agreements and TUPE transactions.

You will be supported from the offset as an autonomous fee earner replacing a lawyer who has built the client base up to allow handover of a very busy and thriving business unit.You will be confident dealing directly with both clients and other fee earners and you will be well versed in the art of cross selling and business development.
