THE FIRM
A global law firm with offices in all of the major legal and business hubs.
THE ROLE
Within an outstanding debt capital markets team which offers expert advice on a full range of debt capital markets transactions, ranging from corporate, high yield and sovereign bonds to securitisations, derivatives and structured products.
It operates as an integrated part of an international debt capital markets and structured finance team that is divided into several sub-teams that broadly cover the following areas:
Securitisation
Derivatives
Straight debt
Trustee representation
High-yield
The clients represented include managers, arrangers, issuers, sponsors, trustees, other transaction service providers and investors.
The firm has advised clients on these products for many years, including advising on Eurobonds since that market's inception in the 1960's, on its first securitisation as early as 1984, and on high yield bonds when they were first introduced from the US in the early 1990's.
The team focuses on the complex "high added value" end of the capital markets. In the last few years it has achieved market-leading positions in a number of areas.
The team now seeks further support primarily in its straight debt, high yield and structured capital markets team.
ABOUT YOU
Experience gained within a top tier firm is preferred.
It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree) with excellent written communication and drafting skills.
The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.
The ideal candidate will be a mid-level to senior associate with 3-7PQE (or equivalent experience).
The firm is interested in candidates with Debt, High Yield and Structured Finance experience.
