Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of Surrey's largest law practices for a Data Protection and Compliance Officer. Providing rewarding career prospects, this is an excellent opportunity for career development.
Working closely with the COLP you will be liaising with HoDs, Business Support Managers and other individuals to identify areas of weakness in relation to data protection compliance; providing advice and guidance on any issues that arise as well as devising and implementing any necessary changes or procedures to improve compliance.
You will also be involved in the management of lender panel applications and general compliance queries and will undertake regular reviews and audits of the firm's compliance processes and procedures, as well as help ensure compliance with anti-money laundering legislation throughout the firm.
As the person responsible for keeping up to date on legislative requirements relating to data protection compliance, you will also be delivering the appropriate data protection and compliance training to other employees in the firm.
Previous experience within a professional services and regulated firm preferably legal services would be desirable and experience with Data Protection, Anti-Money Laundering, due diligence and compliance would be essential for this role.
