We are recruiting for an HR Manager for a mid sized Liverpool based law firm.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity working for a well-established law firm based in Liverpool City Centre as an HR Manager.

As an HR Manager and key member of a well organised and highly motivated management team, you will be responsible for providing human resource and business service initiatives, in line with the company`s standard operating procedures and best practice.

To apply for the HR Manager role, you will be an experienced HR generalist, with CIPD qualifications or equivalent experience.

You will be confident to manage a fast-paced, often challenging workload and able to support Managers, staff and third parties with all HR matters and advice.

The HR Manager will become an integral part in the firm's success, so you must be confident to deal with people at all levels.

Previous experience working for a private practice law firm is desirable.

What we are looking for

You will provide human resources support and advice to line managers and staff, including ensuring policies and procedures are implemented fairly and consistently, including Grievance and Disciplinary processes.

You will manage the administration of all absence and holidays.

You will manage appraisal performance and development needs of employees, resulting in keeping up to date training records, booking training courses and training facilities as required.

Keep up to date with all relevant legislation and best practice being pro-active in researching and considering consequences for the business.

You will manage the journey of all personnel from induction to establishment of personnel files and records in-line with the Data Protection act.

Proven experience within an HR Advisor/Office role, gained within a professional services environment

Previous experience working for a private practice law firm is desirable.

CIPD qualifications or equivalent

Supervisory and motivational skills.

Ability to apply professional integrity/confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including presentation skills).

IT literate (Microsoft and internal database systems).

Organisational and prioritising skills.

Open minded approach to new initiatives.

Ability to work from own initiative.

Team player.




Up to £38,000 per annum plus employee benefits.
