Your new company
This well-established financial services business is looking for a Group Solicitor to join their operations team based in Cardiff to provide effective commercial support to their UK business and manage and mitigate legal and regulatory risk.

Your new role
You will be negotiating, drafting and amending contracts and lead on specific projects and reviews within the Legal function. This would be a great role for individuals who are looking to make their first move in house or those with previous in house experience; you will be providing supervision to junior team members and offering support for group legal colleagues.

You will need to be able to provide pragmatic and fast advice to the business, understanding their commercial and strategic needs. The role requires good influencing skills, commercial judgement and a pro-active approach and involves interaction with both junior and senior level executives.

Ideally you will possess experience in a financial services or other commercial organisation, or in private practice in a department advising on financial services law, banking law or general commercial law. Consumer law experience and knowledge of the FCA Handbook would be advantageous.
