Your new role
A unique opportunity has arisen for Senior Lawyers to join the legal team on advising and developing legislation on unprecedented scale and complexity, and supporting ordinary business of government. A number of roles are available on fixed-term appointments, up to 2 years, as well as on a temporary basis. Shorter assignments as well as part-time and flexible working is available.

What you'll need to succeed
This exceptional opportunity to join one of the largest legal businesses in the country, at a truly ground-breaking time, is open to Senior Lawyers (Solicitors, Barristers and CILEX Officers) with relevant specialist expertise in at least one of the following fields:

  • Legislative drafting, particularly secondary legislation
  • Commercial contracts, particularly public procurement
  • Rail franchising
  • Financial services law
  • International trade law
  • Agricultural, fisheries or food law
  • Environmental law
  • Local government law, particularly housing and local government finance
  • Pensions - private pensions and/or public sector schemes
  • Media law
  • Telecoms and broadband


The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' PQE, with particular expertise covering one of the areas listed above. Other experience levels will also be considered if demonstrating expertise in a given sector of law. You should be passionate about contributing to public service, particularly during this time of great change and opportunity.
