The Firm
Our client is one of the largest law firms in the southeast, and is known for its specialist work in public-sector matters, taking instruction from local authorities and community organisations. Newly  established, but with a multi-million pound turnover from inception, the firm continues to expand rapidly and is now looking for an experienced professional to support the senior IT manager in Maidstone, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding firm with excellent prospects for the future.

The Role
You will be joining a small team as senior IT assistant manager and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of this legal firm’s IT function. This includes overseeing the helpdesk function to ensure compliance with SLA’s within the organization and assisting with management of the Peppermint/Dynamics CRM system (previous experience with this system is not essential). You will be resolving technical issues for a demanding user base across a variety of infrastructures; diagnosing faults and making infrastructure design changes where required; training and mentoring junior colleagues and assuming responsibility as incident manager during Priority 1 and major incidents. You will also be liaising with the senior department manager in managing the change process and providing technical vetting for change controls to senior management.

The Candidate
Our client is looking for an experienced IT professional with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a law firm, who is committed to providing operational excellence and combines outstanding people skills with first-class technical ability;
Thorough, focused, with great time management skills, able to effectively deal with competing, complex issues from a demanding user base;
A good communicator, able to reliably and succinctly document working processes and provide technical briefings to management using accessible, jargon-free language;
Technical experience for this role includes; Windows 7 – 10 and desktop software including Microsoft Office; Office 365 or Google Apps; wifi, routers, broadband; TCPIP routing, DNS, VLANs; Active Directory; Office 365; Exchange (any version); SQL Server (any version); any CRM system, and, ideally, SQL Server Reporting Services.
