Job Details

Are you a corporate solicitor, with at least one year PQE and seeking your next move in central Glasgow?

If so, then please do read on.

One of Scotland's most respected and growing, full service, Legal 500 firms has an opening for a corporate solicitor to join their Corporate department.

Ideally you will be experienced in general corporate, corporate finance and ideally commercial contracts, as well as being prepared to take on a role that will require an element of business development as the department continues it's ambitious expansion throughout the central belt, the highlands and beyond.

Whilst this is a relatively junior role within the corporate team, it is envisaged as a key role, with genuine career progression in the short to medium term under the supervision of incredibly respected Partners focused on helping you expand your knowledge and skills in a department that rewards hard work and unique thinking.

My client has an exceptional track record of attracting "new money" clients including up and coming tech companies and finance houses as well as young entrepreneurs.

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone feeling like just another number at a larger commercial practice who seeks a role within a thriving team with first rate clients but is unprepared to sacrifice the work/life balance that generally is associated with corporate/commercial roles.

Perhaps you qualified in 2017 and accepted a role with your training firm but are no longer comfortable with 14 hour working days. If that is the case, my client works as often as possible on a 9 - 5 basis as they genuinely believe you don't have to sacrifice your life outside of the office to be a successful corporate solicitor.

For additional information contact Neil Campbell at QED Legal via the details provided for a confidential discussion.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
