Criminal Lawyer sought to take on an interesting caseload in Bishop Auckland in County Durham.

Staffed with a team of experienced Lawyers and support staff, they provide tailored services for individual client needs and in a professional manner. Due to recent expansions, their office in Bishop Auckland is now looking for a motivated Criminal Lawyer on a full-time basis.

The Role
The successful Criminal Solicitor will have a minimum of two years PQE in a reputable department and a client-focused approach their work. Working alongside experienced fee earners, the firm encourages applications from qualified Solicitors or Legal Executives who are seeking to build and develop their career in a well-regarded practice. Undertaking an array of duties, your caseload will include: representing clients detained in the police station; drafting instructions to Counsel; Crime Act proceedings; liaising with professionals in Crime; preparing Court applications and; conducting advocacy. Able to hit the ground running, Duty Accreditation status and/or Police Station Accreditation would be advantageous but not essential to the role. Access to own transport is desirable as you may be required to work out of hours. The Candidate
A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
Solid experience in Criminal matters is essential.
Crime Duty Accreditation would be advantageous.
Demonstrate good client care and communication skills.
Handle your caseload under minimum supervision.
Police Station Accreditation is highly desirable.
