A high profile law firm which fields a national team of disputes lawyers in the UK.
THE ROLE
A leader in its field, the firm has an impressive list of FTSE 250 clients including national and international household names in the financial services, retail, manufacturing, transport and energy sectors among others, and they offer lawyers a truly diverse mix of extremely high quality work.
They currently have an opportunity for a talented Associate or Managing Associate to join the team in London, working with the national team and a Partner who is continuing to successfully build the London based international arbitration and litigation practice.
You can expect to play a key role in partnering the firm's clients to resolve a wide range of disputes including high value, complex High Court matters, as well as playing a key part in mentoring and supervising technical work within the team.
The team's range of commercial disputes is diverse and your work could include commercial contract disputes for engineering companies, to advising on partnership and shareholder disputes, through to warranty claims, judicial review, insurance related disputes, and everything in between, with increasing exposure to international clients/disputes.
A recent transatlantic merger means that the firm's platform for international growth in particular is extremely strong and its London disputes practice is at the forefront of that growth.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will already have experience in delivering first rate contentious advice and at least 5pqe, ideally gained at a City or leading regional firm, and will have a proactive attitude to work, a desire to learn and progress and be keen to help further develop the team's client base.
Candidates with business development experience that can help the firm continue developing opportunities are particularly welcome.
