The firm is seeking a junior lawyer to work alongside others in the team on complex commercial matters as well as running some smaller matters more autonomously. The work on offer is an equal split of commercial and IT contact matters, with the opportunity to get involved in some GDPR work if this is something of interest. The quality of the work is as good as it gets and certainly a step above other firms, whilst many say that they act for blue chip clients this firm can not only say that but that the do the high value, complex work for these clients too . The team often deal with multi million transactions for a range of blue chip clients in a variety of different sectors, on both a national and international basis! Alongside this the team also have a strong presence within Yorkshire and do a lot of local work as well.
The team encourage everyone to get involved in business development and the growth of the department. This may sound daunting but the firm have fantastic BD plans in place and provide great support with this which will really help to develop your skills within this area. There are also lots of opportunity for secondments whether that be with clients or in the firm's international offices which is another great way to expand on your experience and use any language skills that you might have.
Due to the requirements of the team, the firm is looking for a junior lawyer and have indicated that candidates around the 1-4 year pqe mark will succeed in this role. Candidates that fall outside of this bracket with the relevant skills and knowledge are encouraged to apply.
