Employment Solicitor - 3 days per week
An employment solicitor is required by this company south of Manchester to work on a 3-day basis. More days would be considered of course, but this is a modern practice which is completely open to those working on a part time basis.
This role is likely to appeal to an experienced employment solicitor seeking to move away from the confines of working for a law firm. It is a niche employment and HR specialist and offers a completely different service to a traditional law firm, or indeed a large employment and HR consultancy.
The company has recently moved to a new office which is kitted out with excellent meeting and training facilities and market leading technology. The client list is genuinely impressive and belies the size of the organisation. As part of your role you will be working on site with and delivering training to some large international client names.
This is not a role for a typical employment lawyer! You must be passionate about your job, with a solid commercial thinking style, and an eye on how the best option for your client might not be the option involving the least commercial risk! The attitude of the lawyers here is more akin to what might be expected from a good in-house employment solicitor (i.e. more commercial advisory than just technical legal).
This company seeks lawyers who are able to cut through the law and present clients with sensible commercial options to their employment law issues.
Salary for this role is dependent on experience, and there is a sensible attitude to work/life balance and flexibility based on the needs of the individual.
