My client, an international manufacturing business with prominent presence in America and EMEA requires a qualified Solicitor to run an In-House legal department from South Yorkshire.

Previous In-House experience would be useful, although not essential, however we would anticipate this role suiting a non-contentious Commercial Lawyer who was looking to make their first move into a management/strategic role.

You're likely to have at least 7 years PQE in commercial law gained from a reputable In-House team or national firm. You'll have competent drafting skills and a confident, robust and positive approach to problem solving. Experience of international procurement agreements and general commercial agreements including sales, maintenance and service levels etc would be useful, however you'll also liaise in relation to employment and corporate affairs.

It is an exciting time to join a leading player in this sector and an opportunity for a commercial pragmatist to work in a role which allows genuine influence, managing and running a small legal function.

The role requires a motivated, reliable, confident and flexible self-starter who is comfortable being challenged at senior level.
