Principal Lawyer – Corporate Governance / Monitoring Officer Salary £41,332 to £55,810 (dependent upon experience)
Located in Shefford (Bedfordshire), Northamptonshire or Huntingdon (with travel between branch offices as required)

Due to increasing demand amongst our key clients LGSS Law is looking to recruit at least one new solicitor or barrister to take a key role in the provision of advice on local authority governance and regulation and for the Principal Lawyer to be designated Monitoring Officer for one of our client authorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring deputy monitoring officer or lawyer with experience of advising on related matters, to work with our existing governance team members to provide legal and governance advice across a number of large local authority clients. The work is varied and interesting recent projects include advising on establishment of a combined authority, and commercialisation projects such as a local authority housing development company set to develop 1600 houses over the next five years.
