LGSS Law Ltd is an innovative social enterprise law firm providing legal services to the public and not for profit sector. We have grown significantly in recent years and in addition to our head office in Huntingdon, we have branch offices, in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridge. We pride ourselves on giving high quality, comprehensive and affordable advice to our many clients, who include local authorities, health bodies, charities, schools and housing associations across the region.

Due to increasing demand amongst our key clients LGSS Law is looking to recruit at least one new Lawyer and Paralegal to take a role in the provision of advice on local authority governance and regulation for one of our client authorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of advising on related matters, to work with our existing governance team members to provide legal and governance advice across a number of large local authority clients. The work is varied and interesting recent projects include advising on establishment of a combined authority, and commercialisation projects such as a local authority housing development company set to develop 1600 houses over the next five years.

You will be providing legal advice and strategic insight to client officers and councillors on the legal aspects of the council’s business and commercial activities, ensuring fully-informed, lawful and effective decision-making, supporting Council priorities.

You will contribute to the success of LGSS Law by being an ambassador for LGSS Law and ensuring that our clients are provided with proactive and responsive legal advice and support and to support the development of the business in line with its strategy of growth.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving and a real commitment to the job. In return, we will enable you to work with friendly and supportive colleagues and develop your career in an excellent working environment. If the chance to play a part in this increasingly interesting but challenging area of law excites you, we want to hear from you.

Closing date for applications: Monday 9th April 2018 For a copy of the full Job Description and Person Specification and details of our other vacancies, please visit www.lgsslaw.co.uk.

PLEASE NOTE: we will only accept applications where a covering letter supporting a CV is submitted. To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter outlining your knowledge and experience relevant to the role you are applying for to recruitment@lgsslaw.co.uk.
