Commercial IT/IP Solicitor - Birmingham

My client is a Top 50 firm in Central Birmingham who are looking to recruit a Commercial IT/IP Solicitor. My client is a Top Tier firm and they are looking to recruit someone mid level PQE. Salary is market rate and depending upon experience

My client is a Top 50 law Firm and the role they are recruiting for involves working on commercial contracts for example the drafting and negotiation of complex multi-million pound contracts, advising on IT and data protection issues and so much more. You should possess a broad range of skills and experience and the mix of work you would be earmarked would be more centered around your own level of PQE.

In the department IT work, commercial contracts and data protection work is all covered together with a smaller amount of Intellectual Property work.

The firm has an enviable client base stretching across most industry sectors. Financial services, automotive, advertsiing, media, retail, leisure, healthcare, energy, football clubs and many mid-level IT companies. Also some work eminating from the charities sector.

Ideally you will have between 2 and 7 years PQE and have trained and gained experience at a comparable city firm anywhere in the UK. The department is looking to recruit someone at the mid level with serious prospects of progression

The team also handles some international cross border work together with a lot of regional work, so plenty of opportunity for someone to come in and start meeting clients face to face from day one.

Agile working is available and the chargeable hours targets are highly reasonable, not excessive at all so the work life balance is apparent here.

It's a unique set up here. High profile clients, top notch national and international work but also the chance to work with regional firms. The firm has a global presence now however still has its roots in the Birmingham area and is a "go to" firm for local businesses.

If you trained within private practice and then went in-house for a while perhaps it's time to sharpen your skills and make the move back into private practice with an exciting client like this. Likewise applications will also be considered from re locators however you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the Midlands.
