The Role
We are now actively seeking a dynamic Housing Litigation Fee Earner with solid disrepair experience for a leading team in Manchester. Utilising your skills and expertise in this field, the successful Fee Earner will manage a complex caseload of predominantly litigated Housing Disrepair Claims against local councils, housing authorities and private landlords, with some non-litigated matters as required. Ensuring high levels of client care and service at all times, the successful Fee Earner will undertake duties to include: use of case management system to effectively maintain files; assessing the severity of disrepair; evaluating quantum; negotiating settlements and; advising on additional aspects of disrepair claims. Recent experience handling both litigated and non-litigated housing disrepair cases will be essential.

Additionally, the successful Fee Earner will take on a number of duties outside of day to day fee earning to include: producing content for the firm’s website and social media profiles, delivering training and building long-lasting client relationships to generate repeat instructions. The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Legal Executives or Paralegals with a minimum of 18 months housing litigation experience;
Candidates will be either educated to a minimum of degree level or possess an equivalent qualification;
Possess outstanding communication skills and a client-focused approach;
Demonstrate recent experience in Housing Disrepair matters;
Work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative;
IT Literate with particular expertise using case management systems;
Be pro-active, highly organised and detail orientated.
Have a keen interest in business development and marketing.
