A great opportunity for an ambitious property paralegal

The Firm
Our client is a property management firm with three offices in central London, specialising in block management of prestige residential and commercial properties in the London area. This growing firm is increasingly instructed by clients across the UK and assists with major redecorations, complex building works and cleaning and maintenance services, and has been featured on TV programmes, with a high-profile, high-net-worth and celebrity clientele. This is a young company with dynamic ambitions for major growth and is now looking for an ambitious assistant to join the legal team.  This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in property law to join an ambitious firm, which offers great career potential in the long term.

The Role
You will be joining the legal team which deals with all aspects of property-related law, everything from leasehold enfranchisement to maintenance disputes. You will initially be dealing with matters relating to resale and remortgage enquiries and issues relating to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1988 (landlord’s consent to dealings with leased property). This will include liaising with property managers to compile management packs, dealing with post completion matters, and assisting with matters relating to subletting, pets, and consents for alterations plus a wide range of other administrative tasks such as updating data bases and dealing with telephone enquiries.

The Candidate
Previous experience in a similar role is not essential, although an understanding of the conveyancing process would be very beneficial; but our client is looking predominantly for a strong administrator with a legal background and an excellent work ethic, who is ambitious and keen to learn;
You should have very good organisational skills, able to manage your time effectively, and possess a ‘can do’ attitude, be flexible and willing to take on a wide range of tasks to support the team;
Possess a strong academic background and a real interest in property law;
Knowledge of block management would be desirable though is not essential.
