Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor - Leeds

Top 100 national private practice law firm seek to appoint a healthcare regulatory solicitor to their Leeds office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading healthcare regulatory teams where you will enjoy exposure to the highest quality work in this area. The team work closely on a national basis and pride themselves on having a friendly, collegiate and progressive working environment. Their clients are public bodies (including the NHS & local authorities) and also independent health and social care providers.

The partners are keen to hear from healthcare regulatory solicitors at the NQ-3 PQE level. You will ideally be coming from an advisory, rather than claimant firm, although applications from candidates from a claimant background who are able to demonstrate that they are dedicated to a switch to institutional work will be considered on their merits.

The successful candidate will handle their own caseload which encompasses the full range of the team's work including coronial law, court of protection & mental health law, commissioning, CQC inspections and professional disciplinary matters. There will be the opportunity for you to provide advocacy at inquests and contentious public law hearings and it is likely that, given the variety of the work the team undertakes, other advocacy opportunities will arise. Experience in supervising junior members of a team is preferred, although not essential as you will be given the opportunity to develop your supervisory skills by overseeing the work of junior members of the team.

Due to the nature of the work, you will need to be able to perform in what are often high pressure situations, so the ability to think quickly and act with confidence is a must. You will have strong client relationship skills and will be able to demonstrate commitment and flexibility of working, to help satisfy high levels of urgent advice and responsiveness.

If successful, you will be joining a highly respected team and will benefit from a generous salary, benefits package, and the opportunity to develop your professional profile.

Florit Brooke advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
