This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of a new team and to lead them under the umbrella of cammoditized litigation services.  This role offers an excellent career path for the right person.

We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive Litigation Manager to drive this new team forward whilst working alongside our Commercial Litigation and Debt Recovery teams.

The role will involve providing day-to-day management and support for junior fee earners to help them develop their knowledge and technical skills so that they can excel and deliver services on budget.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure clients receive accurate, up-to-date legal advice that takes account of their circumstances and represents "value for money”.
  • Manage a caseload of fixed price litigation with values of less than £50,000.
  • Ttrain, monitor and oversee the achievement of junior fee earners, providing technical and customer support as and when required to encourage and develop team members to their full potential.
  • Supervise the caseloads of junior fee-earners to ensure compliance with procedures and that productivity targets are met.
  • Be pro-active in developing innovative and improved methods of working.
  • Undertake legal research both as requested and on own initiative.
  • Keep case management system up-to-date.
  • Provide support to client services team on Client Audits and new business proposals.
  • Raise invoices on completion of the matter and where possible interim billing to be applied.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate exceptional technical expertise and management of a busy civil litigation caseload as well as having  management experience.  You will be IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office as well as having experience of using case management systems.
