Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor

We are currently recruiting for experienced Clinical Negligence solicitors to work as part of our Regional and International teams based in London and Edinburgh. These vacancies are offered on a fixed term basis.
The purpose of this role is to directly manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims for the following jurisdictions: Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland (Edinburgh based), South Africa (Edinburgh based) and South East Asia (London based).
We are looking for experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitors who can adopt a strategic approach to claims resolution with the overall aim of reducing the cost of claims through clear analysis and action whilst providing outstanding levels of service to our members and robustly defending the defensible.
The Claims Manager will work as part of a collaborative, team including in-house doctors, dentists, solicitors, claims assistants and support staff.
Applicants will need to have relevant clinical negligence experience. You will need to demonstrate the ability to implement a robust claim strategy and manage this through to resolution, whilst also understanding the key importance of accurate claims estimates and data. Defendant experience would be advantageous but we will consider a claimant background.
You must also have strong interpersonal skills demonstrated in a high performance environment, excellent analytical ability, good negotiation skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in the face of challenge and assertion.
The base salary range for this role is £46k - £56k dependent on experience, the role also attracts a £4670 car allowance and £4920 London weighting for London based roles. Benefits include a 12% pension contribution, 30 days paid holiday in addition to public holidays, private medical insurance and a health care cash plan and annual bonus scheme.
