Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum

Location: Manchester


A leading North West organisation is looking for an in-house solicitor to act as legal counsel to deliver complex, corporate and democratic legal support. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with relevant legal experience in relation to this role, preferably prior experience within or supporting a public body, while being both commercially and politically aware.


This is an opportunity to be involved in some of the largest and most exciting projects in the North West, and an opportunity to work closely with and be supervised by an experienced head of legal.


The main areas of law that this role will focus on will be commercial contracts, procurement, data protection (including GDPR), local authority law, corporate and compliance work.


Main Responsibilities:
* To provide high quality representation and legal documentation.
* To partner with various departments relevant to the organisation to provide them with professional or technical legal advice.
* To ensure business processes are compliant with any relevant legislation.
* To support senior management in developing, maintaining and improving policies.

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience, however is likely to be circa £40,000 with an excellent benefits package including a market leading pension and other interesting benefits.
