Housing Caseworker / Solicitor
South West London Law Centres (SWLLC) one of the largest and most progressive Law Centres in the country, is seeking two housing Solicitors/Caseworkers – LAA supervisor to be based at our Kingston upon Thames and Epsom offices.
We are looking for a new LAA qualified category housing supervisor to run our Kingston office and to expand our capacity to undertake housing work including a new contract in Epsom in partnership with Surrey Law Centre . You will be supervising one or more paralegals. There are currently 7 solicitors in the housing team, one trainee and two paralegals across our 4 branch offices. We run a wide range of housing work covered by Legal Aid including a significant amount of representation work as part of the housing court duty schemes including the court in Kingston. We are looking for an energetic lawyer who can expand our work in Kingston and Surrey as the Kingston court is likely to become more significant with the proposals to close Wandsworth Court. We are considering looking further at a range of fixed fees and conditional fee agreements for areas that have now gone out of scope of Legal Aid.

We provide emergency assistance and representation through a duty solicitor scheme for housing possession cases at Croydon, Wandsworth and Kingston County Courts.
