Niche practice seeks Manager to oversee and develop the risk and compliance function on a permanent basis.

The Role
A rare opportunity has now arisen for a dedicated Risk and Compliance Manager to join a niche practice located in Swindon. With solid risk and compliance experience gained within a similar position in the legal framework, the successful Manager will handle a varied and challenging workload overseeing all aspects of risk management, best practice and compliance. Duties will include: designing and implementing a risk management plan; reviewing policies and procedures to identify improvements to working practices; acting as deputy MLRO and COLP; maintaining risk related quality marks; complaints management; identifying unmanaged and emerging risks; acting as the firms specialist advisor and; developing the wider risk and compliance function.

Although primarily based at one of the practices offices, additional travel to other office locations will be required as part of this position. If you take pride in delivering a high quality support service, have solid experience in this field and are seeking a hands-on role where staff development is actively encouraged, then this position is not to be missed.

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Risk and Compliance Managers or Litigation Solicitors with solid experience in legal risk and compliance;
Solid understanding of AML and Bribery legislation and the SRA handbook will be essential;
Be able to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language;
Candidates will demonstrate strong IT skills and the ability to utilise IT systems to improve business processes;
Have your own workload and be able to work with minimal supervision;
Be personable, flexible and detail orientated.
