Commercial Solicitor 3 years PQE - Reading

A highly regarded Legal 500 firm is looking for a Commercial Solicitor to join their expanding department in Reading. The firm is one of the UK's leading full service law firms, with offices in London, Wales, Thames Valley and the South Coast region. The firm acts for a range of clients such as commercial business, not-for-profit organisations, government agencies and private individuals.

Role Purpose

The new Solicitor will primarily assist the current Partners and Solicitors on a range of commercial projects transactions but will be expected to assume a degree of responsibility for driving an assignment to completion by working on a variety of commercial and trading agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, terms and conditions, distribution and agency agreements , research and collaboration agreements, all aspects of data protection compliance and advise, I.T contracts, IP licensing agreements and consumer contracts.

The range of projects you may be expected to work on are for both private sector and public sector clients. They may include large IT projects, medical equipment supply agreements outsourcing and public procurements in the health (acting for both the NHS and private providers) and local government sector. A knowledge of or interest in these sectors would be desirable but is not essential. In addition projects will include corporate transactional due diligence work.

You will have 3 years PQE and equivalent number of years spent conducting Commercial Law work. Your experience will have been acquired at a leading national, regional or city firm where you have been involved in good quality general commercial work. Additional experience (or an interest in) data protection and I.T would be useful.
