The Firm

A vacancy has arisen in the Birmingham office for a solicitor or consultant to join the employment team located in prestige offices in the centre of Birmingham’s business district, with excellent transport links.

The Role
Taking on a challenging caseload of quality instructions, the role encompasses all areas of employment law, including advising on settlement agreements, unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistle-blowing.  This is a role for a determined and tenacious advocate representing clients at the Employment Tribunal.  The firm is also looking for someone who enjoys networking and will engage in developing the employment department through developing new professional relationships.

The Candidate
The firm is looking for applications from, ideally, a 2+ years’ PQE solicitor with an excellent background in employment work, but would also consider comparable qualifications and level of experience, for instance from a legal executive; the firm would also be interested to hear from an applicant looking to work on a consultancy basis;
The firm is looking for someone with strong networking skills and a commitment to promoting the work of the employment team;
With excellent communication and client-care skills, and familiar with using a cloud-based case management system;
Possessing robust negotiation and advocacy skills.
